The federal cabinet has approved the Ruwit-e-Hilal Committee 2020 and three bills of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, besides the Muslim Family Laws Bill 2020.
The private news agency said that under the Ruwit-e-Hilal Committee Bill, private Ruwit will be fined Rs 500,000 and imprisoned. Under the bill, the decision of the Central Ruwit-e-Hilal Committee will be implemented all over Pakistan.
During the meeting, the federal cabinet also approved a bill to amend the Holy Quran. Under the Qur’an Printing Amendment Bill, standard paper and Qur’an board will be made in the printing of Qur’an. Under the amendment bill, there will be fines and penalties for substandard printing of Qur’an.
The bill on fines and punishments related to the sighting of the crescent is being widely appreciated in public circles. The people believe that such measures will help in curbing certain anarchy in the country.
