Father sentenced to 212 years in prison for killing his sons and getting insurance money
WASHINGTON: A US court has sentenced a brutal father to 212 years in prison for killing his sons and obtaining insurance money.
An Egyptian man living in the US state of California drowned his two autistic sons in the sea for millions of dollars, according to a report of a foreign news agency.
Ali al-Mazeen, 45, was traveling near the sea in Los Angeles with his wife, Raba Diab, and their two sons, aged 8 and 13, when the car capsized.
Ali al-Mazeen pulled himself out of the driver’s side window but left his wife and sons to drown, but luckily his wife was rescued by a fisherman, but the children drowned.
After the children’s deaths, the Egyptian man received 260,000 in insurance and transferred most of the money to Egypt.
Police arrested the man a year ago on money laundering charges and confiscated 80,000 from a US account.
