Important decision of the Supreme Court regarding NA-75
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) has given a major verdict on a petition filed in NA-75 Daska constituency of Sialkot.
According to details, the Election Commission has accepted the petition filed by PTI candidate Ali Asjad Malhi from NA-75 and has issued an order to hear the case tomorrow.
A three-member bench of the Supreme Court will hear the case tomorrow. The PTI candidate had appealed against the decision of the Election Commission, on which the Registrar’s Office has issued notices to the parties.
It may be recalled that the Election Commission had declared the by-election of NA-75 null and void, which was challenged by PTI candidate Asjad Malhi from the constituency in the Supreme Court.
After the petition filed in the Supreme Court was accepted for hearing, Ali Asjad Malhi while talking to ARY News said that if the Form 45 is submitted, the Returning Officer has to declare the results, but on his appeal, the captain offered to conduct re-polling at 20 stations. Yes, the captain has ordered that the base polling stations are ready to play again.
PTI candidate Ali Asjad Malhi said that Arau had decided to re-poll on 14th and the Election Commission on 360 even though polling had resumed at a few irregular polling stations and Arau himself had told the commission that polling had been resumed. Ali Asjad Malhi said that the Election Commission decided after looking at the media and Maryam’s press conference. Tomorrow is the preliminary hearing. There is full confidence in the Supreme Court. The judiciary is independent.
It may be recalled that on March 5, PTI candidate Ali Asjad had filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the decision of the Election Commission on the results of NA-75 Daska.
