Pakistan Stock Exchange plunges sharply, dollar depreciates
After a sharp rise in the first three days of the current business week, the Pakistan Stock Exchange has once again plunged into a deep slump. The Pakistan Stock Exchange has seen a sharp decline of 625 points during the fourth trading day of this week.
On the fourth day of the trading week, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSE) witnessed a bearish trend from the beginning of the trading day and investors preferred to sell shares rather than buy them for profit.
The 100 Index closed at 46,142 points after falling 625 points at the end of the trading day due to a sharp decline in the stock exchange, causing investors to lose more than Rs 90 billion.
On the other hand, the Pakistani rupee continued to appreciate against the US dollar and on the fourth day of the current business week, the US dollar depreciated by 33 paise.
