ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser has challenged the opposition that if the vote of confidence in a single Prime Minister is proved wrong, I will leave the seat.
According to details, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjarani and Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser spoke to the media in Islamabad, in which Sadiq Sanjarani said that our aim is to make the parliament a strong and supreme body, free media is the basic condition for democracy, facilitate the media. Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser said that he regretted the incidents that took place inside and outside the parliament and a joint committee of the opposition and the government has been formed to investigate the incidents.
Asad Qaiser said that the opposition is facing a challenge and if even one vote of confidence is proved wrong, I will leave the seat. It may be recalled that in the last session of the National Assembly, while criticizing the conduct of the Speaker, the PML-N leader had said that the Prime Minister had threatened the opposition in the Assembly. The Speaker remained silent.
